On Health: An Interdisciplinary Concept of Mind, Body, and Soul

Some patients I see are actually draining into their bodies the diseased thoughts of their minds. ~Zacharty Bercovitz

Good for the body is the work of the body, good for the soul the work of the soul, and good for either the work of the other. ~Henry David Thoreau

Our bodies are apt to be our autobiographies. ~Frank Gillette Burgess

The body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in. ~B.K.S. Iyengar, Yoga: The Path To Holistic Health

To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear. ~Buddha

Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live. ~Jim Rohn

Emotion always has its roots in the unconscious and manifests itself in the body. ~Irene Claremont de Castillejo

The body too has its rights; and it will have them: they cannot be trampled on without peril. The body ought to be the soul's best friend. Many good men however have neglected to make it such: so it has become a fiend and has plagued them. ~Augustus William Hare and Julius Charles Hare, Guesses at Truth, by Two Brothers, 1827

As you may have imagined from the title along with the latter quotes "this blog is concerning holistic health and how having a healthy mind ensures a healthy body and vice versa. As a psychology major and a transitioning natural. My inspiration stems from personal experience as well as external influences.

Concerning Health:

If you find yourself mentally struggling with an issue or a multitude of issues, whether sudden or long-impacting, the best possible solution is to brainstorm and try to personally figure out what vexes you......Some issues may not be as clearly recognizable as others. However, the second step after you define what ails you, is to devise a working plan that is actually achievable as opposed to far-fetched.

Dare to be different!  Do what makes YOU happy!

Surround yourself with positive people, Be careful who you let in;  it only takes one person to turn your world upside down.  Never make someone a priority who only makes you an option.  Trust your instinct.

Everyday should be about the love of and the enrichment of the self.
